Ich bin Birgit, schreibe Bücher und Rezensionen zu dem schönen Thema Kultur. Darüber hinaus interessieren mich Menschen und Situationen. Ich sehe hin, höre zu, schreibe auf und forme Geschichten, die mitten im Alltag spielen: direkt, humorvoll, manchmal bissig, immer ehrlich. Mit Esprit, Haltung und scharfem Gespür für Gesellschaft, Freundschaft, Liebe und Freiheit entwickele ich meinen eigenständigen literarischen Stil. Wer meine Texte liest, bekommt neben Geschichten emphatische Einblicke in ein waches, kritisches Leben.
Dabei liebe ich das episodische Erzählen. Eine moderne Romanform mit packenden Szenen, die Lesende ins Geschehen hineinziehen. Pointiert, fragmentarisch, jede Zeile auf den Punkt. Meine Texte und vor allem die Bücher bekommen so eine eigene Stimme: modern, spöttisch, klug, weiblich – verletzlich, nie ohne Haltung.

I’m Birgit, and I write books and reviews on the wonderful subject of culture. I’m also interested in people and situations. I observe, listen, write things down and shape stories that take place in everyday life: direct, humorous, sometimes biting, always honest. With humour, attitude and a keen sense of society, friendship, love and freedom, I develop my own unique literary style. I love episodic storytelling. It’s a modern form of novel with gripping scenes that draw readers into the action. Poignant, fragmentary, every line to the point. My texts, and especially my books, take on a voice of their own: modern, mocking, clever, feminine – vulnerable, but never without attitude.
